Nepali Paper Products (P) Ltd. was established in 1991 by a group of people having more than 16 years of experience in community development through the production of Nepali handmade paper and paper products. We believe that the quality of traditional handicraft goods made from handmade paper should be increased with the aim of developing a growing expert market. Over the years, we have therefore established ourselves as the leading manufacturer and exporter of quality Nepali handmade paper and paper products, with different awards in the areas of marketing and quality excellence, and with business operations in over 10 countries to date.

"Lokta" or Daphne papyraceae is found throughout the foothills between the range of 1800 to 4000 meter height from east to far-west of Nepal. This kind of paper, which is made from the inner bark of the Lokta bush is a renewable resource and has the ability of regenerating within six years after cutting them from above six inches from the ground. This helps preserve the fragile forest ecology of Nepal.
